Job Summary
Pay hourly -
Hours of operation 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour for lunch Monday – Friday WEEKENDS OFF
BENEFITS to include company-sponsored Health, Dental, Vision after 60 days at beginning of next month after hire, 6 paid holidays start day of hire, up to 120 hours PTO (personal time off) per year, 401K, and profit-sharing. Wage DOE (depending on experience) plus possible commission after 1 year. The probationary period 6 months after the date of start can be extended to 1 year.
We are looking for: Inside Sales Representative to undertake the front counter sales and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the company for our customers and will be responsible for the first impression we make.
This position requires the operation of a Forklift and a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle. If selected for this position, MaCon Supply Inc. will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Taking phone orders
- Assisting walk-in customers
- Ordering material from vendors
- Accurately completing shipping/receiving paperwork to match up with purchase orders.
- Correctly pull orders and label them (returns, pickups, and deliveries)
- Correctly fill out paperwork and turn it into the manager.
- Maintaining the appearance of the showroom, Stocking shelves
- Able to lift 60# and on rare occasion lift 94#
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Able to execute all needed tasks on time.
- Load/unload customers using a forklift and at times by hand.
- clock in and out at designated scheduled times, time management and reliability
- Willing to receive direction.
Nature and Scope
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
- Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable office environment but with occasional exposure to outside factors including extreme temperatures, moving machinery, and loud noise.
- Walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (90+ pounds) or awkward.
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in construction, concrete /masonry /Flatwork / Forming.
- some experience with blueprints and project manuals
- Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to type 35 wpm minimum
- Front sales experience
- Strong phone skills
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Punctual with strong attendance history
- Salesman experience
